I’ve been on it with a production machine since october...haven’t had any issues. Even all the legacy shit works on it.

Mine still hasn’t shown up.

If you run an update you should get it if you’re not domain joined...

Mine isn’t here yet. I’m slightly put-off by the lack of an update-skip option on the Home versions, but I’ll probably go for it, regardless. I’m thinking of buying a Surface 3, as well.

How’s the Cortana stuff if you’ve tried it?

It’s better than the Google and apple options...but it only let’s you search bing at this point. So no verbal Google hacking. But the other stuff is pretty great.

Also - I’ve been rolling out 10 with sccm as an upgrade. So far it hasn’t failed to preserve any of the previously installed software.

If you’re a domain member then the update will be blocked. Think a work computer. If so then windows update will mark you as complient and not offer the update.

That explains why my upgrade from Windows ME to Windows 7 did not go so well. I’ll just upgrade it to Windows 10 instead.

I think you also won’t get it if you done have enough free space. 30+GB. It backs up everything in case it fails.

Well, it's just the pre-registration doohickey, but glad it's shown up for you. I've been running 10TP on my desktop and a laptop (but kept 8.1 on my tablet) since release, and I'm looking forward to the final version.

That doesn’t look so bad to me. After the first update it will look a B-wing from Star Wars. I'd post a picture, but Nibbles.

I haven’t seen anything to complain about, in all the videos I’ve watched. I just hope the prompt arrives soon. I’m still on the fence about the Surface, but it does seem a compelling option for what I want to do with it...

We roll out the surfaces at work for the sales guys. They are very nice. But spendy. A couple more ounces and you have more power and less cost with a laptop.

It’s okay. It’ll take another month in a half for the actual Windows 10 download to appear, anyway.
That said, Windows 10 worries me. I do not like many of the UI changes. It looks too much like Android, and I do despise the Android UI.

True, but as I’m looking to replace both a tablet and a laptop - as in, if I don’t buy the Surface, I’ll be buying one of each regardless - it’d actually represent a significant saving in a few ways.
Ideally, I’d buy a Sony Xperia Z4 and a new MacBook Pro... But that’s a lot of cashmoney.
